The 2025 Magic Millions Carnival has had its fair share of drama including rain bringing about a premature ending to last Saturday’s meeting.
We return to the Gold Coast Turf Club on Friday night to complete the program where seven races are scheduled to be run and won including the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and 3YO Guineas.
With $3 million going on the line in each of those races and $6.5 million across the other five contests, it’s sure to be an exciting spectacle under the lights.
We’ve cast our eye over the meeting and provided our best bets in each race.
Race 1 - 6:30PM AEDT
MAGIC MILLIONS SUBZERO (2200 METRES)
Belvedere Boys (5) earned his spot in the Magic Millions Subzero by winning The Shoot Out at Eagle Farm last start.
The Matt Dunn-trained son of Maurice recovered from being crowded early in the 2100m contest, to storm home and win by 1.2 lengths.
He was a month between runs so will strip fitter and is racing in great form having won the Country Classic at Randwick two starts ago.
He’s drawn wide but there looks to be good speed in the race which should see Blake Shinn able to slide across and settle around midfield.
1 Unit – Belvedere Boys (5)
Race 2 - 7:03PM AEDT
GOLD COAST MAGIC MILLIONS 2YO CLASSIC (1200 METRES)
Invincible Woman (10) is a professional filly that does everything right and that is exactly the type of youngster you need for the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
The Kennewell & Yeomans-trained daughter of I Am Invincible was excellent on debut over 1100m at Caulfield Heath when after being eyeballed in front, she shot clear to easily win by 2.8 lengths.
She’s since had a trial at the Gold Coast where she turned in a very nice piece of work to win with local jockey Matthew Palmer in the saddle.
She has the tactical versality to lead or take a sit for gun hoop Damian Lane.

Race 3 - 7:35PM AEDT
MAGIC MILLIONS SNIPPETS (1200 METRES)
Semana (5) is the best weighted filly or mare under the race’s set weight conditions of the Magic Millions Snippets.
The Ciaron Maher-trained daughter of Winning Rupert resumes here on the back of a soft trial where she dropped out the back before working well to the line.
She races well fresh and easily won her only previous start at the track, which was the Magic Millions Cup on this day last year.
They will run along at a good clip which should see her enjoy a great run for Damian Lane just off the speed.
1 Unit – Semana (5)
Race 4 - 8:05PM AEDT
MAGIC MILLIONS CUP (1400 METRES)
Charm Stone (6) returns to the races for the first time since finishing a luckless eighth in the G1 Rupert Clarke Stakes.
The Price & Kent Jnr-trained mare races well fresh and kicked off two preparations ago with a win in the G3 Quezette Stakes.
She should be ready to fire here on the back of a nice piece of work in a recent 900m Rosehill trial.
She’s well placed in this field and maps to get a great run for Damian Lane.
1 Unit – Charm Stone (6)
Race 5 - 8:45pm AEDT
GOLD COAST MAGIC MILLIONS 3YO GUINEAS (1400 METRES)
Snitzanova (6) is racing in a purple patch of form and is shooting for her fourth win in a row in the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas.
The Ciaron Maher-trained Snitzel filly was last seen winning the G2 Sandown Guineas in heavy conditions despite a wide run.
She’s six weeks between runs but that freshen-up can work for her given she won over this distance off a month break just three starts ago.
Wet or dry, she’s equally adept and the likely strong speed will aid her cause.
1 Unit – Snitzanova (6)
Race 6 - 9:20PM AEDT
MAGIC MILLIONS FILLIES & MARES (1300 METRES)
Revolutionary Miss (1) looked in need of the run when resuming in the Listed Nudgee Stakes.
The Ciaron Maher-trained mare settled handy but weakened in the closing stages to finish tenth by 1.9 lengths.
She’ll strip fitter second-up and last preparation won the G2 Rose Of Kingston Stakes at Flemington over 1400m when having her second run in the preparation.
She’s one the best weighted horses under the conditions of the race and maps to get a great run for Mark Zahra.
1 Unit Each Way – Revolutionary Miss (1)
Race 7 - 9:55PM AEDT
MAGIC MILLIONS QTIS OPEN (1300 METRES)
Cifrado (2) has been in superb form this preparation.
The Rex Lipp-trained Encryption gelding opened his campaign with back-to-back seconds in the Swiss Ace Plate and the G3 George Moore Stakes.
He then proved too strong in the Listed Lough Neagh Stakes when steaming home for a 2.2 length win.
Last start in the Buffering he found the line strongly along the inside when the better going was on the outside so there was plenty of merit in his 1.5 length third
He’s at peak fitness now and drawn to get a great run in the Magic Millions QTIS Open this year.
2 Units – Cifrado (2)
