The 2026 NRL season has provided trials and tribulations for each of last season’s top-four finishers. Defending premiers Brisbane Broncos sit second-last after losing their last eight games and are almost certain to be the first reigning champs to miss the finals for non-salary cap breach reasons in 21 years.
